GFC - Reagan Did It

Paul Krugman looks at the origins of the current Global Financial Crisis (GFC) and tracks them back to changes initiated by the Regan administration back in the early 1980's. Regan era deregulation essentially changed the landscape of financial lending and culminated in the current disaster.

The Evolution of House Cats

The Scientific American has a very interesting article about the evolution of house cats. Apparently they've been associated with humans for about 10,000 years (not 3,600 as previously thought) and provide no benefit to humans. Obviously written by a dog loven' scientist! :-)

NEWS FLASH: Trujillo was useless at Telstra

Finally someone has come out and admitted the blindingly obvious: Trujillo was a costly mistake for Telstra.  In the end he may have done Australia a favour and broken down the Monopoly that is Telstra, but don't hold your breath.  Anyway, good riddance.

Muppets do "Cheap Thrills"!

FreakAngels

I've just stumbled apon a brilliant web based graphic novel.  It's called "FreakAngels" and it's totally engrosing.  It's tagline:
"23 years ago, twelve strange children were born in England at exactly the same moment.  6 years ago, the world ended.  This is the story of what happened next."

The Abominable Charles Christopher

This is an odd but strangely absorbing "Webcomic" that's updated every Wednesday.  I've still got no idea what it's all about but can't stop reading it.

Selgas Cano Architecture Office

This is an outstanding building that must rank as "the greatest office to work in, ever".
